So, major right hand turn with the race car

Post by 1320ft »

After much deliberation & thinking, the decision has been made to turn the car into a circuit car, that will also be ANDRA legal to run run high 10's.

Arraignments have been made to add the CAMS required bar work & organise the wilwood bits for the front & rear brake upgrade.

Will be retaining the D2's for now, then when the need arrises we might look to some MCA's.

Might even have a go at Club Sprint at next years WTAC.

Did you have nightmares about when the little one asks what a steering wheel does? :p

No, just the realization that with my work, hockey, new baby & ANDRA commitments, having a dedicated/full time drag car, just isn't value for money.

I mean, I will be away for atleast 1 week, every month next year. Looking at my schedule, I might get to use it maybe 4/6 times a year.

So if I make it a car that I can just throw on the trailer & take to a supersprint/open track day/hill climb etc. All the better!

Not fussed about being the fastest, just want to have a car that is more usable than 4 times a year.

Now, Rx7 to narrowblock bellhousing anyone?

I've had a few, including Aaron's car! But none of them have ever changed engine, trans or diff combos...

Besides, Azz knows I'm just stirring him up.

I can start on your thread instead if you like thrash :p

That's a much better idea! Make it fast! Make it handle well, then it doesn't matter if your going in a straight line or not, It will still work!!!

After all, Drag racing is just a bunch of blokes in high heals and loud dress's

:D "cough" Sorry, loud exhausts LOL
How many Starions can one man drive!!
