If they were slow I wouldn't have mind, but after taking payment and saying they could do it as they had the measurements from you. It took them over 3 months to tell me that they would only make them if I could get an order of 10. They did refund me but I lost hundreds from the fx transactions.

the manual steering racks i think are all the same, they run around 3 turns lock to lock, the main thin i was after was the distance between the 2 inner ball joints was almost the same as the inner rod ends mounted on the drag link, this will minimize the chance of bump steer

Given that I've no experience on a race track, excuse the noobishness, but is the steering box so bad?
The E39 M5 uses a steering box system, and this car has been praised by everyone around the world to no end..

Plenty of the US guys have done it, but the rack end pivot points on the S13 racks are a bit wider than the control arm mounting points on the front crossmember. They don't seem to complain, but if you can find a rack with pivot points more inline with the control arm mounting points, you might aswell use it.
Not a problem for the way Silo did it, as he used the entire S13 crossmember, with the Starion framerail and engine mounts welded on, giving correct geometry for the S13 rack, with S13 lower arms.
