Fatal at QR

Overseas pro race driver over for 2 days driver training killed today while a passenger in a Porsche .It appears that the driver under instruction crashed into the wall ( don't know at what corner ) and car burst into flames. Details uncertain as to what exactly happened ATM

They should swap tyre walls with the water filled barriers so instead of crashing into a flamable material, it would be water. Might help retard the effects of a subsequent fire?

That and add nets at the end of straights like that drags for top fuel type events.

What a waste. I heard he was supposed to fly out later that day...

You know the scary thing though, Bob Jane tried to argue for years that the ANDRA system of concrete walls directly on the side of the tarmac was the wrong way to do things.

According to him, we needed 3-4 meters of grass then tyre walls, then the concrete!

Sorry to hear about this horrible accident.

Aaron, can you explain this for me. (sorry but I'm clearly missing your point) Remember I'm from a Rally background, and have never driven on a drag-way!
