G'day all,

Decided to start recording everything I do to this car as I have never done it before and would be cool to look back on it one day and cry at all the money I spent on it

So let’s get started,


I guess the idea of getting a second Starion started after a few of my mates sent me a for sale add of this red JA,
The photo on the add was very impressive, so I just had to go see it.

After spending a day tracking the car and owner down my girlfriend and I went to go and see it and man, what a let down it was.
This car had a hole of rust in the B pillar and would not come on boost.
The owner would not move off his asking price of $1500 so the choice was simple.

On the way home I was very disappointed so my girlfriend suggested that we go find a JA that we saw two years ago on the back streets of MillPark when we where buying my Legnum. So why not I said, it was a sunny day and a cruise would be nice.
After about 30 min of driving back and forth the streets of MillPark we found her, unmoved from the spot we saw her in two years ago.
Knocking on the door proved a fail as no one was home, so I looked over the car to see if it was worth come back for. I noticed a temporary registration permit and after a short call and wait we where checking out my new car.

A week later I returned with a trailer to pick up (yet to be named) the JA. And all she needed to get going was a new battery and some fuel and she was revving away, with only a major fuel leak on the inlet line to the injectors.
It took us about 30 min to move the car from the lawn as it had sunk in the years it had been sitting there, but after a quick tow from the Legnum the JA was free and loaded up.

On the way home I had to stop by MitsuMadness who was giving me part for the track can, and was able to help with parts to fix the fuel leak on the new JA (THANKS !!!)

So, after day 2 I fixed the fuel leak and was now drivable

I guess the real aim of this car is to put it on Club Rego and use it as a weekend car and cheap skater in the rainy months

Yeh, I am having some trouble with the pics. How do you put them on the page so there not just links ?

Nice spot on the diff, I also got a tank with pump, RHF 1/4 panel and he said he has some doors I am yet to pick up.


Today I fitted the new wheels I picked up,

Rota Aleica 15x9 -10 with 195/50 tyres (2 in good condition) that I picked up for $600

The next step is to bring her into work and get a list together of parts I need to make roadworthy and source some better low springs for the front and rear
