Interior handle trim and Handbrake Button

Post by Neil »

Hey Guys,

Anyone know where I can get new interior door handle trims. Mine are a bit average. Are there any other cars that have the same bits that I can pillage some off?

Also - same thing with the handbrake button - mine is split in half - and how does it come off - does it just screw off?

Handbrake is the same on magnas scorpions etc. Look for one at a wrecker with a nicer button. You can peel the colored boot off and fit it on the replacement one.

Never pulled the button apart on one, so don't know if it can be removed and refurbished easily.

There's a crimping of the pressed metal at the end, once you spread it you can unscrew the button.

The problem of the red interior, a lot of this stuff gets tossed away...
My advice is go on the Starquest forum and perhaps become a member. A lot of maroon interior is up for grabs there...
Just need to be persistent! Here's one post and I remember a guy called 'Burton' has this stuff too.
