Door trims all done, scuff panels done, headliner back in. Need a solution to rooted mirror controls or I just fill them up with glue!

As I holed my radiator overflow bottle I had to get a replacement (Thanks Pete) Anyway, while it's apart I'll show you how and where I mounted it behind the nose panel.

Basically, aluminium bracket, cut, fold, drill and test fit a few times. I did this originally with the nose panel off the car, made life a lot easier.

Top of the bracket slips under the nose panel and locks it all in place.

Aargh...

I'll see what I can do, sketch it up and put some dimensions on it. Like I said, takes a little trial and error to fit it up.

Or you can buy a factory intercooled set up fairly cheaply from either the US or Japan.
Bolts straight in factory location with threaded holes already there...

Finally got the front spoiler on. On and off more times than a brides nightie.

Image

I can't take it off the ramps yet though cos no-one is home and I don't know if it will hit or not :?

Couple of brackets and bits to nail it all together

Image

Also as I plan to hopefully get the car on a track someday, it needs to have an extra bonnet restraint. So I made a bracket and fitted it up.

Image

Undo nuts from the bottom of the bonnet vent

Image

Image

Attach seatbelt. The seatbelt is from the centre back of a Gemini!!

Image

It runs down in front of the radiator support panel

Image

The other half of the seatbelt is bolted to the tow hook through an existing hole.

Are you saying that to be able to drive your car on a race track you need another restraint for the bonnet so it don't fly open?

Pretty much.

Point 12 in the document here is a pretty standard clause.

That's a great idea on the secondary latch bracket, out of interest will the bolts holding on it be enough to hold on it it?
