Another dumb question - Radiator hose

Got new radiator hoses. The top radiator hose is fairly straight with a kink in the middle....which way should the kink go? Downwards, left, right, upwards.....I can't quite find a reason to have it any particular way. Or am I thinking about it too much? Thoughts?

I'm with you Al, I've never figured it out either. I ended up putting the kink downwards, as I think the HT leads ran over the the top of it.

I'm thinking left or right as that is the way the engine moves in relation to the radiator, and I guess the kink helps that.

always down... Ignition leads fit better & it also makes sure no air gets trapped in it. :beer

Yep, never have a high spot where air can get trapped in. My thinking is the kink is there to allow plenty of engine movement in every direction without ripping hoses off.
