Zac, I didn't take them off, the panel basher did....and I'm a bit annoyed as they broke all the plastic clips. Luckily new ones are easy to find.

But to get them off next time I would do the following.

Empty out all the rear trims inside the car to get to the bolt that goes into the bottom of the trim.

Undo the two screws that hold the trim in the hatch area.

Prise up the end near the roof and put something under the end to hold it up and protect the roof.

Twist out the bottom edge so the lug for the bolt clears the body.

Push the trim upwards so the trim slides off the clips holding it in place. Then you could pull the clips out without them being destroyed and bending the trim itself.

The manual says use a trim stick under the clips and pry them up. I think you may need to do this to the top one as the trim may not lift up enough to clear the roof.

I'll get more pics of the back side of the trim and post them up later.

Those plastic clips are near impossibly to get off without them breaking, even if you know what you're doing! You can buy them new aftermarket though, well ones that are close enough to use anyway.

Started putting trims and so forth back on.

Trims and where their clips are located.

To install the trims is as simple as lining up the clip on the metal edge of the door and knocking it on with your fist. They can be moved and adjusted to fit by bumping them along into place.

Put the vertical one on first then don't do what I did and put the top and bottom ones on. When you go to put the one on for the mirror....it won't go :(

So after pulling the top and bottom off  I put the mirror one on then the remaining two.

Then the mirror can be installed.

I also started putting back seat and the rear trims back in.

Much nicer now and I have more space in the shed.

Need to source a few clips then I can finish off the door trims.

I got it from a car I bought a few years ago. Rest of the car was rooted but the interior (except for the leather seats) was pretty much perfect. I don't think the previous owner ever opened the rear!
