FS: 16" wheels with tyres

Post by enthuzed »

These 16s are universal fit to suit 4 x 114.3 but the offset doesn't quite clear a standard Starion front strut & will require a 5mm spacer. Comes with nice Falken 225/45 tyres but one is worn out & unfortunately no centre caps.

Hi mate, not interested in these myself but you should probably clarify for others what the clearance issue is.

If it's the rims hitting the strut then yeah, spacers required. But if only the tyres rub, the new owner could drop to 205/55 and there might (? potential buyers satisfy yourselves!) be enough tyre clearance without spacers?

they look 16x7 given the quoted tyre size, are they not stamped or cast with size and offset?

Yeah, they're 16 x 7s, and there is a '35' cast into the hub section of it too. So maybe it's a 35mm offset. Does that coincide with the fact that they came off a 1980s bluebird? It only needs a few millimetres to clear the front strut...
