Brake Caliper Bolt issues
So 3 of my front brake caliper bolts came out easy after the initial crack.
One, however, has been a mofo. Had to keep undoing it with the breaker bar with force from both hands. it came off eventually after a lot of swearing and heaving, but still not fully, and now no matter how much i turn it, the bolt doesn't seem to want to come out.. so i ended up leaving it on the bracket and taking it out together with the bracket.
Do I have a warped caliper or something? I did notice the wheel hub didn't really want to rotate at all.

The calipers are supposed to slide on those guides, if they don't have enough grease they will stick and seize, dragging your rotors and wearing out the pads fast.
It sounds like your bracket and bolt may be F'd if the threads are bad. I'd try heating it up with a torch, the bracket not the bolt. Take off the rubber bits before you go at it.

i'm not too worried about the bracket. I managed to get it out - there was NO grease in this one, so I guess that would explain it. It was pretty corroded.
I'm just wondering if this would have caused damage to the caliper?

actually, now that I think about it, the rubber boot on that one was missing.. could this be why there was no grease left inside? Can I get another one of those boots?

are we talking about caliper bolts or caliper pins?
caliper bolts hold the bracket onto the upright.
caliper pins allow the caliper to slide on the bracket.
