Unless maybe a group buy we could get close to $999.99 maybe? Otherwise i think im sold for that price... basically hundred dollars cheaper then buying locally.
Mate that is dirt cheap! And you want to organise a group buy to save $34 on a set of coilovers? Just get them or like Aaron says, contact the new distributer and see what he can do for you... And careful of getting caught with outher fees (transaction fees, currancy conversion, gst and import duty.)

GB's are a pain in the arse. I don't know why I keep doing them... rofl
I should have a new one for Magnetic Sump Plugs in the for sale section by next week.

Yeah the $999.99 was just a spontaneous thought as the guy was at his limits when he said that price mentioned earlier..

If i find out the new distributor in aus and it works out the same or even a tad cheaper then i'll get local.. but im all about budget so yeah. I will ask him to ensure all the fees are taken into account and that is final costing to my door. One thing i know i am a bit concerned about now since mentioned.. is the warranty. How long is the warranty for on a d2 coilover? and is it really worth it, as i thought they should be a ble to handle a fair amount of stress based on their design and such? Not steering clear of the brand.. just for intended use a warranty wouldn't be a bad thing to have...

Andrew Scar is his name, D2 Australia is the company. The new web site will be up in a few days.
1320, do you have a contact phone number for this new D2 Australia distributor? I can't seem to find any trace on the interweb other than the original Autosports Australia dude.
Thanks

I just had a chat with Peter from Auto Sport. He has D2's But said they are around $1400 or so. He did say that 10 or more sets could get the price down to $1000!
I'll find out more about that if anyone (or 10 of you) is keen!!

He is looking into alternatives for me to use for rallying :D I'll let you guys know how that goes too.

Cheers Jason

Guys... For a group buy to be worth the hassle, the saving has to be a BIG percentage of the cost, not 3 percent LOL

Buy them for $1034 and stop complaining!
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

Dave I am pretty sure that is why this GB died because it is so cheap to just buy them. Would have to be like $800 for a set to be worth a GB now for me.

but i don't want to hold everyone else up on installing theirs.. i don't think i'd be able to get mine done before mid february (dependant on price of course).. I've also got sway bars to go in at the same time, and i have to find a set of 5 stud wheels that I like and can afford, so that I can install my 5 stud hubs as well....
Yeah so I posted this in december 2010.. mid february 2011 came and went, as did mid february 2012 rofl I finally opened the box now in October 2012.

But on the plus side, I DO have my 5 stud hubs and wheels :D
