if anyone could confirm this for me if this is right

1) european starion ECU is not gonna let more bost that 0,5?
- conquest ecu is more "friendly " and it will let bigger bost from turbo?
if yes, can i swap ecu from conquest just plug n play ?

From what I understand there were quite a lot of different part numbers for ECU, perhaps 8-10. I have no idea what the difference, would be nice to know. I think some vary by type of connector too.

The european ecu I'm not too sure if it will boost cut that early, 87 2.0 aussie starion ecu's will go to .9 bar before cutting. 2.6 ecu wil definitely not work on a 2.0. Your car is 2.0 isn't it?

there is no power over 5k.

every things go nice until 5k, and there is a big turbulences on the dyno scale.
I had this problem some years ago in my JB. Only it was at 4K
We put it on the dyno and found that it was over fueling (too rich) from 4K and up. Made less power after 4K
I sold the car, the new owner put a roller bearing turbo on it. Had the factory ecu remapped and made 190Kw at the wheels! So he told me. But then he cracked one of the rings and that was the last I heard from him.

that sounds about right, because people are commenting that they can smell from exhaust that is to rich fuel mix , so now i know that might be a first sign of turbo fault...

i still have dedicated new HKS turbo , but it is dedicated to pumps 380 hp and i still have stock engine, i was wondering if this gonna be ok to drive with smaller bost. but then it might be terrible lag :/

about my bost cut.. my boost gauge on full power is showing that i have less than 0,5 of kg/cm2....

and yes, my engine is 2.0 , thanks for that info about 2,6 ecu.

That turbo would be a 17C wouldnt it? Yeah that should be ok maybe a little laggier than your stock turbo but i doubt it would be as laggy as our TC06's on a 2.0...

I think that is an MD082010. You should be able to get the pickup bit inside, if that is what has broken, I'd imagine that part is the same on many Mitsubishi distributors. My book says it an HEI type II Igntion system

Tommi, I just took my distributor apart and it has the same part number on it as yours. The coil has two spade connectors inside. I measured mine as about 1kohm and if you then place your meter onto volt reading and spin the shaft by hand you can see it producing a small voltage.

thanks Popup :) i think that my friend who keep eye on my car said that the is some mechanical damage inside distributor, but if this number is the same , now it might be prove, that curnent engine in my 89 starion was swapped from narrow body 2.0 starion, beacuse orginally engine supposed to be 2,6.

just curious, have you got a picture of your enigine bay ?

ps. i decide to buy mitsubishi GTO today, but iam gonna keep starion as well :)

Have you got headlight washers? From what I remember they were fitted to 2.0litres but not 2.6litres, but maybe that is only true for some regions of the world.

Here is my engine bay, horrible I know but it is being done/tidied.

If you need photos of the dizzy I took a few of that but I need to get them off the camera. There really isn't much in the dizzy, the only difference between models (I think!) is the curves for the vacuum advance and weights/springs for mechanical advance. So depending on whats wrong you may be able to swap bits from any mitsu dizzy to make it correct for your engine.

ps, I went in a GTO many years ago that had a couple of bleed valves on boosting each turbo to about 25psi. It was silly fast, but engine blew up very quickly ( no surprise) and the thing was a nightmare to work on.
