I've heard of some reliability issues with the newer MTX-L units... I've never had a problem with the older LC-1's though.

The AEM UEGO looks to be a nice bit of kit, but I've never had any experience with them. Around the same price point too if you got one from america yourself.

NXTIME... Microtech not Haltec   Go the late night posts LOL

Dyno 8am Monday, Road tyres are on, Exhaust done (2.5 inch) Mandrel bent with one muffler :( Apparently it was too loud with pipe to the diff, so it was checked. And the muffler fitted.

Sensor is in the exhaust and will be wired up tomorrow. And it has a free air calibration function that is in the black box in the wiring between the sensor and the Microtech.

What do you guys think it will make on the dyno????

Remember L300 MPI, Cooler and Microtech. with 2.5inch exhaust. That's about it as far as I know!!
Wish me luck :beer :beer

how much boost are you getting the tuner to run at?

forged internals or standard?

Standard turbo? I'd say a sweet 225 at the wheels would be dooable :).

Might require a little more boost than 11psi though... But don't want to smash those fragile ring-lands.

It was on the dyno today, but not for long :glare: The clutch let go :x

So what I can report is it needs a new clutch.
It is running 11PSI. And made 168 HP at the wheels :D I'm guessing it has more to give when the clutch can hold it!

As for the o2 sensor    I've have a seniors moment and told the dyno guy I had a Haltec.... We Know I don't!! It is a Microtech!!

So no o2 sensor in my car :(

I've also got a air leak at idle near the butterfly! So I need to block that up and get the idle right. The standard idle control is not wired up as my microtech does not have that function. (Not needed on a rally car)

Also my intake temp sensor is not working! Do L300 Manifolds have this???

Cheers

Nope the l300 had the air temp sensor built into the afm, you wil need to fit a vn one or similar
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

did you do the wiring on the car, or did you get someone else to do it for you?

My Auto electrician wired up the computer for me last year. So I don't know what was done really. But if the l300 manifold uses the afm then that would explain it!

Do I need the intake temp sensor???

And how hard is it to plug up the ports near the butterfly to get the idle back down? The tuner tells me the computer will control the idle after the air leak is fixed.

On a separate note. The clutch I had for it, I got from Lummy late last year, turns out that it was/ is to fit a Starion flywheel but fit a Supra gearbox!

So I have a Exedy button clutch with pressure plate and a Starion flywheel and Toyota spigot bearing for sale. No good for me as I'm still using a Starion box.
It cost Lummy $26 to post it to me. I paid $200 including postage I think. So I'll ask the same. Anyone interested??

I know him very well, he is a mate of mine. Did the job nice and mates rates cheap for me over a few months, and most likely told me about it at the time. Then I forgot about it???

I'll get one for it tomorrow and fit it up, time permitting.
I also worked out the idle issue..... I think!

ahh, nice one! In that case, he's probably left wiring for the air temp sensor in there somewhere already, make your life easy
