OZ's 1st 6sec 4cyl and it happens to be a 4G63

Post by 1320ft »

Tonight, Colin Wiltshire made aus drag racing history. By being the 1st 4 cyl powered door car into the 6 sec zone. Rattling off a 6.98 @198 mph (200 is so close) in his 4G63 powered Mitsubishi Eclipse at willowbank raceway.

On my slide rule, the car should be making around 1200hp on that pass.

Seemed to pull that time without too much fuss as well.

10 or so years ago that sort of time may have qualified it in a national round of top doorslammer. Pretty impressive for a 4 cyl car.
