I notice you still have your map sensor connected...or at least it looks like it's connected. Are you actually using it with your Haltech and does it work properly? What about the factory boost gauge?
What size intercooler and how did you mount it?
Is it tucked in behind the factory spoiler?
And where are you hiding your oil cooler now?
These are all things I'm dealing with right now or about to...

Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Oh, and I can see why you've ditched the factory airbox, you cannot get the intercooler pipes past there on the angle you've chosen, based on where the compressor outlet looks like it sits...that path is the shortest and best IMO.
What I'm doing different is keeping the factory airbox. I've modifed it though so the air pickup pipe that twists around under it is removed and closed off, and instead opened it up so it suit a 4 inch pipe that goes into the guard.

It hasn't been dynoed, so I couldn't tell you. I used to own a BA XR6T and this (starion) feels like it has more power than that did if that gives you an idea. If it weren't for the synchro issue from second to 3rd at high revs, this would be comfortably into the 13's.GormzZ wrote:curious with that amount of money spent on the motor.. how much power did it actually put down to run that 14sec quarter mile?
Drives nicely, it has a good balance of top end power and low rev pull. It's not built to drive like a drag car so it behaves very well at low revs and develops boost at reasonably low revs, has really good mid-range torque. Lots of fun to drive that's for sure :Dmizuno man wrote:got all the bits and looks realy godd man, how does it drive?
I can't remember if the map sensor is hooked up or whether they just left it there disconnected. I have a feeling it is not connected though as the Haltech came with one I think.enthuzed wrote:I notice you still have your map sensor connected...or at least it looks like it's connected. The factory boost gauge doesn't work with the haltech so I have an aftermarket one rigged up.
The intercooler is 2 RX7 series 4 or 5 cooler cores welded together and with custom end tanks with 2.5 inch piping I think. It is mounted after the front bumper and the oil cooler has been modified to fit between here and the radiator. I didn't fit it myself, part of the reason so much has been spent on this lol!
The intercooler post-core pipe runs between the radiator and battery (using a smaller battery to allow this). Not much room to fit the pipework from the turbo, I don't miss the original airbox :)

I think you meant the oil cooler is in front of the intercooler. Thanks for the pics rodhamp and good luck with the sale. :beerrodhamp wrote:
