Welcome Sam to the "worlds best forum". There's just about enough Starion owners in SA to have a decent "meet" now. Just need to agree on a date.
PS : Where in SA are you ?

I'm stuck working up around Port Augusta at the moment, hopefully get this thing on the road in the next couple of months work pending, just has a blown head gasket at the moment so a basic rebuild should see it on the road again unless i go mad in the shed and start looking for more power.......

I could always bring a cordia to the meet  rofl

Thought I'd introduce myself, from the UK but signed up here as the UK forum is terrible to navigate and no one reads it.

Bought a 2 litre Turbo 1986 Starion in many shades of Red! Body work seems pretty solid for a UK Starion. Been doing the interior and checking all wiring there, and will be moving onto sorting the engine bay out. Took it for a drive the other night and some smoke appeared under the bonnet, something leaking onto the exhaust manifold or turbo. All fun though :D

Probably start a thread on the show and go part.

G'day guys and gals just thought i'd better jump on here and say hi to everyone now that i am again a starion owner. based in cairns qld i own a few cars namely 1 01 TT clubsport R8
2 Daihatsu charade G200 Detomaso in the build
3 silver 84 JA starion

ok now on to the Starion, i owned this car many yrs ago was modded in pristine condition and sold it to misses sister cause she liked it, long story short she abused it painted interior blue, killed the motor and let it sit in the yard for 6 years. So now i own it again so gonna do a full ground up rebuild.
