spent one minute on youtube and found it. absolute gold!

Murphy brothers told him to raise the rear ride height 10mm at this meeting, he knocked 2 SECONDS off his lap time as soon as he went back out!

Dave, please explain how raising the rear of the car only 10mm improved the lap times by that much, I don't get that...
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

it also:

doesnt run a rear swaybar

has 350 pound rear springs

there are plenty of little tricks in the suspension setup of these cars that dont make a lot of sense, but the murphy's did all the r&d 25 years ago that found them out.. also running fk all camber front and rear.. it's running I think 1.5 degrees on the rear at the moment and we need to reduce it more!

this is why I lol at people wanting MORE rear camber on their starions...

i think more people just want extra rear camber for the purposes of lowering their car on wagon sized wheels, as opposed to improving performance..

Okay Dave, cool, it's making some sense now.

LOL Thrash, you are probably right.

That car move along well, and the driver looks like he knows what he's doing.

I'd like to know heaps more about what these guys figured out and sounds like you've gleaned a bit from them Dave. Could you perhaps write about Starion track suspension setups, what works and what doesn't?
