WTB - starion air intake pipe

Post by perrinsohc »

Hey guys,

I need another one of these as the rubber/plastic that clamps to the turbo is so worn that it all broke apart and I can't run my air intake anyone. Anyone want to tell me the piece between turbo and airbox?

Cheers!

Dude, these are a real common problem spot on Starions, mine is also pretty stuffed. JAS might have something, but if not, you could get some pipe, some silicon joiners/bends/reducers and make one up yourself. I did it in a Sapporo I used to own, worked fine. Your's is even easier because you don't have a fuel tank vent to plumb in :).

I bought one for a 82 Pajero from Mitsubishi lately and it wasn't expensive, worth a try although unlikely.

Alspos created a DIY intake hose a while ago.

No pics though.

The ports don't look like they are in the right direction though...

They are for a 4G54 as fitted to us widebodies. theyll fit but the power steering reservoir has to be relocated.

Have the same problem, and got quoted from Mitsubishi NZ$200 for a genuine replacement. Not sure which way to go, custom or genuine.

That's cheap, as long as the ends are ok!

$200NZ New From Mitsubishi is not unreasonable either!!!!! The after market ones from USA will work out to be over $120NZ buy the time you get it!!

Cheers
