Starion on ebay...something odd??

Post by JDSTAZ45 »

Dark blue Starion on ebay...
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mitsubishi-J ... 43afe64944

It's a JA Starion built 5/82 and has the the early numbers #243

Apart from it's JB add-ons, can anyone tell what's odd about this car??
Hint: Antenna placement??

Perhaps. But I would be checking if the numbers matched on the car!

Looks like the tags came off for the repaint. There's heaps of signs that it is a JA though - interior, taillights, bonnet, ECI setup.

Oh yeah, Its a JA alright, but looks like a series 2 JA, not a series 1 like it should be.

Or someone drilled a hole.

Series 2 JA's came out in 83/84 and the vin numbers should start from around #900 onwards.
So either a LHS quarter replacement or aerial change? Or something else?
I would definitely check the vin # on the chassis near the front strut tops!!

I mean the external lock on the fuel filler door.
I had a series II 1984 JA but I cannot remember whether it had one or not...
