well if they let nissan have dohc heads then both holden and ford teams will want them.

my money is on that they'll just adapt the nissan block to suit ohv and fit some chev style heads..

remember the V8SC or whatever they call themselves now are all about parity, they got that a few years ago when they made the ford teams fit chev style heads to their windsor bottom ends.. maybe they plan on using a restrictor plate like nascar? which will disadvantage an ohc design vs a pushrod design?

Wouldn't they just tune them to have the same torque and power curves then seal the engine management? Or I'm sure they'll introduce a winning ballast system like in production cars to try and even them up.

Not really possible to do that though.. Make a dohc v8 behave like a pushrod v8, the rev range is different..

Install a jet valve elimination kit.....and grind the lobes of one cam....etc
