No, it would have smashed the diff, drive shafts, shock etc etc

Thats what you get when you use a rattle gun, instead of a torque wrench to do your wheel nuts up.

I would have thought the axles would have snapped, that's what happens to my mates 9 second evo. Better snapping an axle or busting a diff then what happened to it.

I'll have a video here somewhere of Mark Carlyle's 7sec IRS equiped C5 corvette from a couple of years ago.

Got a little axle tramp of the line, when the driveshaft let go, it ripped the half shaft out of the diff housing, tore the housing, shaft went through the boot floor, snapped the shock, broke the A arm away & bounced away.
