Anyone know of a factory DASH powered car out there?

Anyone know of a factory DASH powered car out there?

Post by ProZac »

Trying to tune a DASH powered EX Lancer at work, and having some fuel enrichment issues. Would like to get a scope on a factory DASH powered car (doesn't have to be a Starion, Cordia or Sigma would be fine) and see what the factory system does.

Anyone know of any DASH powered cars knocking around Christchurch with an owner that would be willing to let me have a little poke around? Nothing invasive, just some electrical testing.

Will try and get hold of the owner of Robin's old car. But any other contacts would be super helpful.

The Dash fuel injection system works on the same principles as a Starion or Cordia fuel injection. What exactly is it that you want to know?

AFAIK, all DASH injection systems run a staged setup, with two different sized injectors, like late model starions.

Specifically I'd like to get a feel for what the factory system does for acceleration enrichment, and likewise for decelleration. But I've also got a bit of general interest going on, as I like scoping weird old engines and seeing how the computers control them :)

The 1988 Starion factory service makes some vague references, but nothing really concrete it would seem.

There's my old one and there's another one out Woodend. Forget the guys name, but ask JAS, ask him the name of the guy in Woodend that loves AMS oil. He'll know who I'm talking about.
