help...dropped head bolt in engine

Post by logik »

hi all,

after a lengthy hiatus of anything starion related, i bolted my new head onto the starion.
after tightening the last headbolt, the headbolt extension came apart (two pieces) and fell into what i assume is an oil drain? (seriously FML)

does this just go straight to the sump? or a complex pathway knowing my luck

its stuff like this that seriously puts you off cars...

Can you attach a small magnet to a wire and fish it out? Or Repco and places have magnets on flexible posts...worth a try.

That has gone into a water gallery, there is a metal claw device that you could use to fish it out. It's a lot like those magnets on a flexible length.
One of those may work as well.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Got the fucker!

Goes straight to the sump; as soon as the sump was off it was sitting there staring at me in all its glory.

Fucking cars!
