The kit does require 1 thru-hole to be drilled per side for the base of each of the struts... painless

would it work if the struts were inverted? I always thought they had to be mounted the opposite way you have them mounted.

Yes the struts do work the same if you invert them. Threading on each end is the same so you can experiment if you want.

Hey Tim, can you make a small revision to your kit? Slot the mount holes on those brackets so they have a bit of adjustment. As mentioned in my write up, if you have to pull your bonnet right up, the measurements you gave make the strut bottom out when you close the bonnet (as the bracket moves with the bonnet)

So you want the holes slotted like the slotted holes of the original factory bonnet hinges?

Yes, so they can be adjusted slightly to allow for whatever.
