Have your brake lines arrived?
I had a look at my line and the front look like a 2 piece configuration and the rears are also are a 2 piece design. So a full set should be 8 hoses all up??
Crickey, I only bought the set a few days ago! Expect it next week!

I had a set of braided lines from the US but were not ADR approved. (No wipe clean coating). I'm sure there were 8 pieces in all!

As I mentioned before, you have a choice of seller (regarding price $120 v's $185) and choice of colour. I chose black. I reckon the grey carbon-look wouldn't be too bad!
I'll post a pic when I get them :)

They are those HEL brake lines which are ADR approved.
There is a listing on Aussie ebay for $185 delivered. Not bad.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HEL-braided- ... 3cb5a631fd

However, I found the same brake lines in the UK for a lot less!
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220910896130 ... 1497.l2649 It cost me about $120 with Paypal.

You choice of price and colours!!

:beer Mal
I bought a set of hel lines over here in the uk but from a different seller, however they only sent me 4 lines, so had to tell the guy it was 8 in total, 2 per corner. He only charged me for the 4, but put his prices up after

Just got in touch with the UK seller, and surprise, surprise, there are only 4 lines being delivered. They are getting back to me in relation to the other 4 lines....
I did mention that there could be further purchases from this forum, but that will depend now on their ability to produce all 8 lines and of course the price.
It might be worth questioning the Aussie seller and see whether they are aware of 8 lines in total and the whether the price will remain the same at $185

Ahh, the pitfalls of ebay!

From eBay seller in the UK
**********************************************
Hi, our original listing only replaced 4 lines £69 plus pp, we have now amended our listing to include all 8 lines for the starion total price £130 plus postage & packaging (normally £9.99 to Australia) if you buy 7 kits in one purchase we can offer each kit at £120 (any
colour) with a combined pp which should dramatically reduce this, we can get a quote from our courier if you are interested.

Regards
Dave
**********************************************
So UK$120 = A$180
PayPal fee and Combined postage ??? (split across the group)
Postage in Australia wide (or pick up from Sydney) $$6.90 postpack

So approx $195 inc. postage.

Now, just waiting for confirmation from Australian distributer on price and what hoses are included.

I was able to determine which brake lines I got from the UK seller. :? I got 4 lines but there were supposed to be 8!

2 lines were 20.5 cm in length with a male and female thread at each end respectively. These lines are the fronts 'caliper to bracket'.
[The fronts upper line 'bracket to chassis' I did not receive but I believe are approx. 32cm with a female to male connection...need confirmation!]

The other 2 lines I got were 26.5cm with female connections at both ends. These were the rear upper bracket to chassis lines.
So there you go ladies and gentlemen... 'the Starion braided brake line kit'!!!! :x

My word, there are some shonky ebay sellers out there!! So, PLEASE DO NOT BUY from this seller!
The rear caliper to bracket line (I did not get) is also 26.5 cm in length but with a male and female connection respectively.
Anyway, there are some measurements and info to go by for the group buy on the braided brake lines.
Paypal have asked me to return the lines to get my refund back. The seller would not go halves on the remainder despite he was the one that stuffed up! What a goose!
So Pete, put me down for a set as well. The carbon-fibre look! :beer

Have you ordered them yet?
Obviously let us know how many hoses actually turn up. I'm hoping 8 for you. And the if you could tell us the lengths (from tip to tip of the metal fittings) and the types of fittings at either end.

After chatting with Mal we have the following information...
Measurements are from "tip to tip of the metal fittings" if you know what I mean

FRONT LOWER: 205mm - Male (into Caliper) to Female (into bracket) x2
FRONT UPPER: 325mm - Male (into Bracket) to Female (into Hardline) x2

REAR LOWER: 265mm - Male (into Caliper) to Female (into U-bend hardline) x2
REAR UPPER: 265mm - Female (out of U-bend hardline) to Female (into Hardline) x2

WILL DOUBLE CHECK DIMENSION PRIOR TO ORDER.

I hope everyones line are the same length and configuration :D

If anyone know otherwise speak up so we can get this right once and for all. :beer

Pricing update.

* Aust. eBay (Cartel-Online) is $185 (4 line kit) off their website
And will not return my calls.

* UK eBay (daghosesupplies) UK$130 = $191.96 + delivery $14.75 (8 line kit)
As a group buy he said he would knock UK$10 off each set and discound the combined postage.
So UK$120 = approx A$180? (currency rake and international current fees)
PayPal fee and Combined postage ??? (split across the group)
Postage in Australia wide (or pick up from Sydney) $$6.90 postpack

So approx $195 inc. postage. ($188 pick up). (BEST PRICE SO FAR)

* Australian HEL Perfomance distributer A$276 (8 line kit confirmed)

* HEL Perfomance UK. Trying to get a price out of UK direct to see if that is cheaper and if they will supply to us of if that conflicts with the Australian agreement???

Please firm up if your in our out.
Hurry up and express you interest if you haven't already done so.
And confirm colours.

First page updated.
