REMINDER HANGING ROCK CAR SHOW 2012 (VICTORIA)

Post by Hitchy »

Hi All,

Just a reminder that the annual Hanging Rock Classic Car Show is coming up on Sunday Feb 12th 2012,

Meeting in Romsey as group @ 8am to travel there together so we are all parked at the show as a group.

PM me for exact location if your plan on attending, if you are planning on coming from interstate I have space in the backyard for a couple of Tents(BYO) and plenty of off street parking, and a BBQ to burn some meat, PM regarding that also.

Entry fee is $20 per car and all cars must be 1986 vintage or before

See other post below for more details

Regards

Hitchy

It's in the diary, man, it was huge event last year.

Going the back way into the venue and at the time we did, it didn't take long to get in and park.

And it didn't seem that big...until we'd walked around for a couple of hours, then came to the clearing...only to see hundreds upon hundreds more vehicles on the oval/racing track.

Here's the previous post:

How have you gone with rustling up other mitsu forums Andy?

We've got to do better this year...a small club called Toyota Car Club had 30 cars there. I didn't think they had that many members!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

You are quite correct Frank,

Toyota Car Club had quite a few there last year as did the Datsun car club.

Would be great to get a strong turn out Starions and classic Mitsubishis, have posted this on Sigma-Galant.com but have yet to get any interest. :(

I will be going like crazy to get the Galant in a drivable state so I can have it there. :D

The show was brilliant last year over 4500 classic cars.

Cheers.

You won't be disapointed.

This show is Classic Car Utopia!!!!!

Aussie & US Muscle, Classic Jap, British & European, Trucks & Bikes

Check out posts from last years show.

It is well worth the early start and the trip.

Your car doesn't need to be in show condition, if it was built 1986 or before, has 4 wheels, drives and resembles what could be considered by the discription of an 'automobile' in the Oxford Dictionary it can go on display.

What was embarrassing last year was there were more Isuzu Ballet's there than Starions, WTF!!! Can't let that happen again!!!

There has to be more than 2 Starions capable of attending.

Hi Guys,

We've organised a convoy for this. Meeting place is Thomastown.

7.15 at the Edgars Road on-ramp to the Northern Ring road.
As soon as you turn onto the freeway you will see us parked on the left hand side.

We will take the roads to Romsey via Tullamarine as per Hitchy's instructions if anyone has to catch us up.

And Bluesystem will be joining us with two Starions!
