If it's about fun and not sheep stations then I say set it up for both purposes with as little trade-offs as possible for either discipline.

I'm attempting to have one car for circuit, one for autocrosses and motorkhanas and a third for a backup for motorkhanas.
And guess which one I'm using at the moment...?
Yep, the backup.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

So I thought I had better update this.

I have been amassing a small parts collection and doing little bits and pieces here and there.

15 x 4 inch Street Pro Convo's from Work with 26 x 4.5 inch MT ET Front Runner Tyres, Full Whiteline Bush Setup, All new Roadsafe Ball Joints Tie Rod ends etc and the Coilovers

When go and scale the car, I will change to springs to suit.

And the Kiggley Racing 6-Bolt Main Girdle thanks to Rotamotive Racing

Hopefully should have the fully rebuilt front end back together by next weekend and have it back on the ground.

So I thought I had better update this.

The car is now sitting back on four wheels thanks to My Dad, John, Shannon, Peter & Brett. The motor & trans are sitting in, but the trans tunnel needs massaging to fit the auto in.
Plus, the bonus the car has the USDM spec 6-Bolt diff & shafts, 5 stud hubs and US brakes on the car.

No pics, but:

Lexan Windows have been received and trial fitted
Rear 15 x 8.5" wheels & MT 26 x 8.5" tyres have been ordered, so I can make the appropriate mods to the rear guards.
Currently cutting out the innards of a Starion aftermarket steering wheel hub and attaching that to the splined inner hub of my quick release boss kit.
My fabricator is coming round next week to do the prep to weld in my cage.

Ok, so pretty much the secret is out.

Having had a few things change over the last few months, I have purchased the shannons old JA body off Ryan (Ixnay) complete with the 2.3L motor, GT3076r, Haltech etc etc.

The rust in the firewall is worse than 1st thought & the decision was to cut my losses with the JB body and buy ryan's bits & put me 12months ahead of where I am now.

The goal with the car is still to run a 9 sec pass in the car with an IRS rear end, but the car will be street rego'd and driven.

I'm not going to scrap the body, if I can't sell it to someone who wants to use it or save it, i'll slowly fix it properly.
