My starion 2.0t widebody "candy apple red paint" f

Post by TommiCrazy »

I posted few times before about my starion in GENERAL DISCUSSION part of forum, but recently some stage of work with my car is completed, so i can present my starion in SHOW ROOM

Hi there, I own starion from about 5 years, this car had only one owner in germany before and i had to say that was keept very well. (sory fo my language, i hope its sound easy to understand)
starion oryginaly had mexican red paint, but after when i saw few spots of rust i decide to tak car to workshop.
car body was completely derusted and repainted, new paint is called candy apple red . (looks amazing in evening, by the day bit to pinky-red.
chasis numbers says that it was 2.6 oryginal car, but first owner did engine swap.
Also this car was with open diff, and i decide to swap it into lsd diff, it wasnt easy to find it in this part of europe.
suspension and wheels was completely rebuilded.
I bought conquest mirrors from usa and it took me nearly two years to find good condition front spliter in europe.
now car looks completed, also drive fantastic, its very fast as a stock car( or there is something that i dont know) but its faster that 260hp V6 eclipse 4g and faster that 240hp 2g eclipse turbo.
engine dosnt have any leaks and its no smokin, some time ago i bought dedicated brand new HKS turbo, iam planing to swap it and forge engine, but first i need to finish other car

time to present some photos
start with work in the workshop

Top class job, Tommi!
Nice colour and nice touches. I see you have the 3 piece front airdam which looks great. You have painted it completely one colour without the black strip on bottom edge.
The conquest side mirrors do the trick!
I would have left the plasticl grill and side-markers (with reflectors) in glossy black just to break it up a bit. But that's me!
I hope your efforts get some other people motivated to do such projects and enjoy their pride and joy!

Thats a good point, I didnt thought before about glossy black finish for plastics, sound like very good idea but its done now, and i was inspierd by one of austarion member car to paint car solid into one colour.I will post some more stuff soon but i will try to edit video first, with all interesting materials that i've captured on my camera. Three piece front airdam was hardest part to get for my starion.
Motor is 4g63t probabely stock but incredibly healthy ( never had chance to take it for dyno test)

Great job done!..I always believed that the Mexican Red was by far the best colour, but your colour is pretty good I have to say..The 3 piece air dam is the best look on the WB..Good choice..
