bioethanol may be cheaper, but it is not sustainable, as farmland originally used for food crops are now being used for bioethanol. More demand for bioethanol will indirectly lead to an unparalleled increase in food prices and general inflation.

We won't ALL be driving electric cars, that's absurd. Some of us will ride our bicycle to work instead... rofl

^^^
I don't drive my Starions enough to worry about fuel consumption or type of fuel used. Realistically, these cars would not be daily drivers unless they were
completely stock or the later model ones. The Starion is more or less a hobby car in the form of a go-fast project or restoration one!

I am also surprised that this one is still for sale. To my eye, it has good lines, seemingly a fresh interior without major wear and low km's!
The ugly additional gauges would easily come off without damage.
To outlay $5000 for the car, $1000 or so commission and pay the balance of shipping of $3000 when car arrives is a great way to buy one without dishing out $12k straight away.
Have it in your driveway until it's ready to register! Take out a second job or do some overtime. Reward yourself!

SK...my red GSR-V is in the carport to remind me of the black one I sold
The white GSR-V is getting the attention mainly...as I finally bought a set of rear GSR-VR quarters. I wait for delivery!
Will look to get moulds done soon...stay tuned :)
I reckon if I get the conversion done and do the widey rear quarter moulds, then I deserve some award! Maybe a free session to a Starion Anonymous clinic :wtf:

BTW, as a reference, a very clean manual GSR-VR with 74K km, no repairs, and good maintenance record just sold at a dealer for YEN890,000. This is AUD12K just to buy the car in Japan...

If it were to be exported to AUS, then the FOB figure would be over YEN1 million. Add all other costs and you are at $20K very easily.

It was sold within 3 days of being listed for sale, so I'm sure in his eyes it was well-priced as the car was in excellent condition and well looked after. Probably the cleanest I have seen.
