I think the move towards electric cars is a good idea.
Most electric cars these days can get around 160k's out of a charge and costs cents to recharge. How many people would, on a daily basis, travel more then 160k's a day?
I remember watching a doco about electric cars in America, the biggest concern when talking to Americans was the range, but studys showed that Americans on average travel in their cars less then 30k's :? Americans
Plus I think the Delorians are a sweet car! Stainless FTW!

Further to that, what would you do when the bloody thing runs out of charge? It won't matter right if you get it to 88 miles an hour...?thrash wrote:wow.. what suburb do you live and what suburb do you work??WidebodyWoody wrote:I travel more than 160km in a day.

Electric car might not suit the odd person, but i'm sure at least 90% of the population it would...

I would hope that you could hook the car up at work to charge it while you were working for 8 hours...

Traffic can vary, it can be a good run like this morning, 45min or a bad run which is usual of 1h 15min. Or the worst case 2 hr's HUGE traffic jams. Which doesn't happen too often.
