Time for another Sydney cruise

Post by www.18u »

So it's been a while since i've organised a cruise ( or been on the forums for that matter :( )

I'm open to ideas and dates, but would like some twisty roads and a few good photo stops.

I'm in qld on Nov 10-14th so thats no good for me.

So who's in?
Cookie?
John?
Mal?
Aaron?
Thrash?
Tomsun?
Vulpes?
Hoon?
Wantsom?
Merlin?
Adriano?
Ixnay?
Rob26t?
Nxtime?

List your excuse below if not coming :P

my car is still off the road for the time being. Just moved to a new place with an awesome shed, so I should be able to get it running again soonish.

Wiring issues - cas wiring needs to be redone as it's getting false triggers/noise to the ecu, causing hesitation (pulls your face off when it happens at high rpm).

I hope it is just the wiring and not the cas, because if it's the cas, out comes the engine, which means I will redo the cooling system as well - i.e. off the road for another month or two considering the pace at which I do things :wtf:

Also need to fix a fuel system leak and some of the wiring to one of the pumps.

Thrash, you shouldnt need to pull the motor to get the cas, just undo the4 engine mount bolts, and the gearbox mount then slide the whole lot forward

Great tip Adriano!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

My car is in the shop waiting for the diff guy to finish. After that the steering box is getting replaced... I'm keen though, will bring the bike if I'm still starion-less.

Thanks!! At this stage i'm really hoping it's just the wiring though. If it does need a replacement cas, can I use one from any dohc head? Or do they have differences?

I thought somewhere in the Hunter would be nice for lunch.

But then how would we all get home? :D

Guys, there's a cruise organised for next Sunday, 30th October. Come along if you can..

Details:

Travel Road and Destination: Putty Road to the Hunter Valley – Tempus Two Winery or Harrington Pub, or both - not fussed on final destination (its the cruise itself after all that is the main event!), just somewhere nice for a group shot and a quick meal - we can finalise/decide this on the day.

Meet place: Car park in front of Windsor McDonalads/KFC (Corner of Groves avenue and Windsor Road) @ 8.30am for a 9.00am start.

I'm sure it was a slight oversight, Cookie. You're always welcome :) :beer
