WTB: the impossible: Good JB door trims

Post by robert26t »

As the subject reads;

Im after a good set of JB door trims obviously to suit JB. Color doesnt phase me too much. Im preferably after something in the Syd region.

Any heap would be greatly appreciated. I want to get my car on the road, its taking too long!!!

I dont mind even if it comes with a complete car at the right price.

Cheers,
Rob.

I might actually have some in my JB in good nick! It's a track car so was gonna be stripped out, I'll have a look. They're that horrible burgundy/dark red co our though, does that bother you? Also I'm in Melbourne, but know a cheap shipping company. I'll check em out today!

Excellent! Well I'll take some photos photos for you and if you're happy with them I'd be happy with $100 (which would include me posting them to you) since I wasn't going to use them anyway.
I'll try and get the photos tomorrow. May take me slightly longer to get them out of the car though cos it's parked in tight in my workshop between two cars and behind another. But I'll keep you posted.

I'm chasing a RH burgundy bottom at a minimum.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Ok, so I got into the car and got the photos. The trims are in really pretty good condition, except for the fabric over the speaker, and except for one other real shame- the arm rests have indent marks on them where the roll bars were pressing against them. See the photos below. Let me know if these are still good for you or not. Otherwise perhaps NachoMan may have some better ones.

Passenger side. See the speaker cover fabric, and also indent from roll bar:

Drivers side (can see roll bar that makes the indent):

Let me know if you still want them.

Cheers!

To the best of your knowledge do you think the indents will come back out over time??

I'll be 100% honest and say, no, I don't think the indents will fully come out unfortunately. It looks a bit like it's compressed the material behind it, and also the metal has stained the red where the indent is. But the indent seemed very solidly impressed into. Quite a shame really. Bit of a tighter fit that I had thought.

So yeh, you may be better with something else out there, but these are available if you're still keen. They won't be going anywhere in any hurry (unless someone else desperately tries to buy them I guess).

just thinking theres something i know that may be able to get the stain out, if you can get your hands on "AutoSmart - Brisk" good stuff for the vinal and the only thing i've tried that removes that stuff without dammaging the material.
