WTB - TC6 Turbo Front Cover

Post by RallyStarion »

As the heading says, I am after the compressor housing off a TC 06 turbo. Would consider the complete turbo ( even if damaged ) if anyone should have one sitting around.

Thanks for any help,

pm or text mobile and I will return call.

The other thing is....which compressor wheel will you be using?
The front cover you are after is a td05 intercooled one but that can only be used for certain wheels up to big 16G or 17C which requires machining.

Kando Dynamics (Japan) on ebay have just about all the Compressor wheel covers you need. td05h covers for 16G and above....

Thanks for the reply people but I am after a TC06 front cover.

This would have come off a JB Starion with intercooler. The outlet is part of the casting allowing a hose to slide over it. and has the two wastegate mounting holes just to the right of the outlet. It differs from the earlier crossover rocker cover model that lets the turbo pipe slide into it.

Tamgesic pm sent.

Thanks for the link too, will keep that on file.

The JB turbo was water cooled, but not intercooled. You need a TC05 or TD05 front cover from an intercooled starion such as a JD
or from a car 86 on. You cannot buy these new anymore!

For the 11A compressor wheel on a TC06 JB turbo, the td05 cover may need machining for the 11A wheel to fit!

The td05h compressor wheel cover are modded to fit.

I am currently getting a JB turbo modded with a 17C wheel to work on my intercooled staz! :)

Thanks everyone for the education lesson, My cover has TC06 stamped on it so it may have been fiddled with. Would not surprise me to tell you the truth.

Dave will ring you tomorrow

They come off euro spec cars, Tamgesic's one should suit. I think you can modifiy non intercooled ones to suit by clocking the housing and making a bracket for the aculator.
