Yep the dohc side finally won me over...
Engine choice:
4G63 wideblock
Evo head
T3/T4 turbo
External gate
Evo intake manifold
Evo 7 Injectors
Evo loom and computer
Starion flywheel/clutch/gearbox
The wideblock is fully rebuilt from bottom up,
I have the 2 engines now, one EVO narrow engine complete, and one wide/dohc hybrid long block, using EVO engine as part donor, then selling whats left.
donor narrow engine
staz engine ready to go out
intake and exhaust mani's off midweek for a chop swap and flip

Possibly contact Wantsom, he did the last run of thermo adaptors but unsure if he has any left/did another run or not.rodney007 wrote:Haha, It was a matter of luck that the wideblock poped up, I grabbed it while I could.. I had already purchased the narrow engine. waiting for it to be delivered..
Where can I purchase the thermo adapter for cooling? anyone here sell thoes?
Turbo and manifold looks good :beer That wideblock long block u bought looks sweet too, and not a bad price really. You should recoup a bit selling off the evo longblock anyway.

Ok, wideblock engine is in, flywheel clutch lined up and ready for gearbox,
Swaped over oil filter housing with new gasket, put on alternator,
Manifolds due in this week, thermo adapter being made up this week as well as water pump inlet hose.
My wife's parents are over so most of my time is entertaining them, would love to spend more time on it :-(
Got my intake manifold in this morning,
tight fit, but okay for now i guess...

That's a big arse turbo!
What are the inlet and exhaust manifolds? What sort of finish is on the inlet?
Looks like a cleaned up cyclone...but maybe I'm wrong.
