Stupid questions

Post by Alspos »

Hey I have one.

You know those note pads with the spiral down the side of them?
How do they get the spiral thing in there?
Do they drill it in? Does somebody have to feed each page on individually?

Wierd :ugh

well... funnily enough they use machines that do them faily quickly, the paper is "punched" with holes (much like a normal hole punch, but bigger) and then the collated pages are lowered onto the spiral which is un-twisted (but they are sprung) and then the spiral closes when pressure keeping it open is released.

Umm.. you're talking about the plastic ring binder thingys. I have one at work. For reports etc that you bind at work.
I'm talking about the notepads, writing pads, spiral notebook things that you buy in the newsagent.

yeah, ur talking about the sprio-bind... its almost the same principle as the plastic office stuff except its all done on huge machines (altho there may be some smaller ones around). Very similar principle except made of wire rather then plastic, Im getting around 3000 books bound that way next month.

Thanks, sort of.

Hey, if Superman is the man of Steel, and bullets bounce off him cos he's so strong etc, how does he shave???? Wouldn't the blade just go blunt when it touched his super tough whiskers??

what "superwoman"? theres a supergirl, but I belive (from memory) that she was a shape-shifting alien who got a crush on superman and hence became supergirl. And there are of course other "supermen" that came after the much publicised "death" of superman (in which doomsday killed him) but none of them were kryptonian either, there was a steel one, a robot, ummm, cant remember the others, like 4 in total.

There was a WONDERwoman, perhaps you got mistaken?
