What pistons do you run?
I'm thinking about putting a set of these in while my engine it's out. What is everyone else running? Any good or bad experiences? Any suggestions?

I haven't checked my bore size yet so I'll know if I need 85.5's or standard soon. I'm still gonna run SOHC however, I'm thinking about traveling the "Old school" road.
Short story: In the 80's rally drivers with Datto 1600's and to a lesser extent TRX Bluebirds, used to get the L20 series heads off LPG forklifts. These heads ran huge inlet valves.
At work we have a Samsung SF20L forklift that runs factory LPG. The engine is a 4G64. I imagine these heads also have huge inlet valves.

Good to see you are staying true, SOHC, if you want to put some good values in the standard head, Datsun L20 manley SS swirl polished values fit, if you want i can try to find the part number, these valves are back cut lower than the standard valves, better flow at lower valve lift, the L300 4g64 head does have bigger valves, i think you can get much more out of the engine by just tiding up the original ports, port matching, radius all of the machine in the combustion chamber, to remove the sharp corners, there is more power to be made from the inlet manifold and the exhaust manifold.

My turbo-built 4G54 apparently has 92mm 8.0:1 Wiseco forgies. Not sure whether to believe that though as it comp tests higher than a fresh standard Scorpion engine (which ran around 8.3:1). So I'm thinking it's got 8.5's.
