MINI CAMERAS

Post by OLD FART »

Met a guy at the sprints over the weekend and he had a camera that was as big as my thumb that came with various mountings along with the downloading cable. It has a 2 hour capacity.Don't know about the quality of the pics as he was using it for the first time .Has anyone got one or know anymore about them ?.
They are at Big W for less that $100.00

I got a contour HD its 1080p and about $290 but well worth it. If you lash out a little more you can get one with gps built in so you can record lap times and speed as well. Also they have heaps of different mountings available for them.

Dave, is that the gopro sd that you have? Ive got one of those and as you said the sound and video quality is poor. I recently bought a gopro hd and the sound quality and video quality is leaps and bounds above the sd version.

Rad if thats the one you are talking about, search on ebay for md80, then you will laugh at the fact that big w are selling them for 100.

These look the business

eg a vid done by some of the guys @ an NZ Honda meet

"This is a 6:36 video that was comprised of over 40gb of footage, 4 GoPro cameras, various cars with cameras in various positions and over 1,000 photos to create this package"

http://player.vimeo.com/video/16646791?title=0&amp

Post 4:50 shows how they were mounted etc
And of course spare time and some editing skill is handy too

i'd like to see go-pro HD footage with confirmed actual sound from the camera not an external mic, i suppose there might be something on youtube that states that the vid in question is using the in-camera mic....
