Sorry to hear about what happened dude. I know how you feel, hope everything works out, at least you know who smashed your car! :glare: and when you do get the cash of him, you'll have nothing to do but get an aerotech bumper for the anguish he's caused you :D
How fast do those doorhandles go mate!

it happened in lonsdale st, melbourne. smack bang in the middle of night traffic.. funni enough there were no other cars at the time, but soon after they came coming.. and all had to go through the left lane..

the other (stupid) guys were driving a blue telstar tx5..

but but i want an JB bumper.. then maybe a full aerotech kit.. :( im worried they wont be able to get me a JB bumper..

i cant imagine him winning this case.. i might put the pics up here for you guys to decide and give your points of views..

The guy should have been in the right lane indicating right, but since you hit him in the side, the law about hitting someone in the rear shouldn't apply, either way he should have never "changed lanes" without checking first to see if it was safe to do so.

Make sure he makes a police statement saying he was in the right lane turning in, then give a copy of the photos to the police, and have the police follow up charges of 'lying/intentionally misinforming' which the police take quite seriously. That should shut him up.

I'm sure his insurance company will try and say you hit him from behind, so make sure they understand clearly he was hit on the side so that 'rule' of 100% your fault does not apply in this case.

damn, and he got off lucky. looks like a small dent :x

the exact thing happened to me in my cordia vs. commodore. broke my parker and light surround. stoved in commodore front quater, passenger front and rear door and the rear quater plus rear taillights. i stoped and beeped be4 we even hit, the fu#*ing idiot kept turning and put his front quater into my bumper, panicked, turned harder then floored it and dragged his whole car down my bumper!! i have never laughed so hard in my whole life!! he was going off at me while my mate and i where pissing ourselves. it was great. the simple fact - he turned across a lane of traffic without indicating, checking his blind spot OR GIVEING WAY!! (yes, you have to shout the last bit in case the short bald little sweaty Greek guy has had his brain fried due to the bald spot(it also helps to tell him this (this makes the whiteness (abut 50 of them) piss themselves too)))) i was lucky, the whole staff at nandos chicken plus about 40 other ppl saw the whole thing and where abusing the Greek guy, a commodore owner told him he didn’t deserve a commodore and one guy even walked right up to him and screamed something incomprehensible right in his face. Everyone was on my side!! i was loving it. best accident i have ever had!
I figured out the meaning of life, and since then every day just gets worse.

Warranty void if stupid.

but from the pictures, doesnt it look like nearly impossible for him to drive in from the right lane like that? i mean look at the way his car is.. :(

i dont know how his insurance can argue and say it was my fault.. clearly it can be seen from the photos that he cut across from the left lane into the right lane and into my path?

this is exactly wat i mean.. if he was in the right lane turning in, obviously i would have hit his rear end, or at most, his rear/right end.. i completely didnt hit his rear at all.. also if he were in the right lane turning in, i would've hit him with the right side of my front really.. or the front front.. well.. thats my story at least..

how do i get him to do that? ive sent those photos to my insurance.. not to his, nor do the police want to see them at the moment.. i offered to show them at the police station, but they said it was unecesary.. :(

dam right he did.. i cant imagine him wining the case, and my car not getting fixed.. that will be justice wont it :( this fool shouldnt be on the road..

too bad i dont have ANY witnesses like you scum, a whole restaurant to back you up..

You need a qoute for repairs to be over $1000, as soon as you have this speak to the police personally to have it followed up and force him to make a police report because by law, if damage is in excess of $1000, then he MUST make a police report.

As soon as you confirm with the police that he has made it, make an appointment to see the constable about his report and to verify which lane he stated he was in, they might say that's for the court to decide, but tell them its not going to court so it has to dealt by the police directly and have them follow it up by pressing charges for lying if he does so :D
