FS(NZ): Parting '87 Starion GSR-V - being crushed in 3 days!
Hey guys, just picked up a parts car, pretty much already all in pieces.
It is a 1987 JDM Starion GSR-V with the Sirius DASH engine. More or less complete apart from the hatch glass which has been smashed. It is white in colour however patches have been painted silver. The body is quite rusty and the plates are de-registered. I will be sending the body to the scrap yard early-mid next week if you want body specific parts let me know ASAP.
Other than that, it has two sets of doors, two sets of front guards, two bonnets - one vented and one not vented. Front windscreen is there and intact. All door glass and rear window glass (apart from hatch).
Engine is the G63B DASH 3x2, however I will be keeping this for myself along with the associated wiring loom, AFM, ECU (though I do have one or two other DASH ECUs available) and turbo. The gearbox will be up for grabs but probably not the rear end and diff, even though it doesn't appear to be an LSD unit (axles spin opposite way.. WTF??)
The interior is dark blue cloth and from what I could see of it, it isn't in bad condition. Has a 7000rpm redline gauge cluster but that's already spoken for at this stage.
I am after expressions of interest for whatever parts, I'm not out to attract big dollars for items as I would prefer them to go to good homes rather than the scrap yard! BUT I need to know preferably before the end of the weekend, as the shell will be taken to the scrap yard with all the unsold bits inside that I can't store in my own garage!

Smaller things like JD style fog lamps, pillar vents, misc interior parts etc I can send to Australia (or even further)!

Can you please get those protection moulds around the panels of the car. I will need the LHS rear quarter. It might be a good idea to keep the p/s components/extra thermo fan at front/and of course the 5 stud setup!
Sounds like it's one of those no-frills GSR-V's with no LSD!! Does it have rear ABS and climate control?

pics! turns out it was the spare hatch which had smashed glass, the original hatch with plastic hatch top spoiler is in good condition.
The boot of my RVR is full of crap too, including the TD05-12, DASH inlet mani, second set of headlamp mechanisms with motors, oil cooler, intercooler, tail lamps (JB style) etc which I have yet to unload into my garage yet.
I am not going to be able to store any of these parts other than the engine, some suspension items, maybe one of the two gearboxes and other bits and bobs - so all the rest like the doors, guards, bonnets, interior plastics, hatch, front and rear struts etc NEED to sell otherwise they will be scrapped along with the rest of the car!
Yet more pics coming tomorrow when I further clean things up and organise them. The car is still sitting in a mates garage across the other side of town at the moment.

No ABS and no climate control, so must be the no-frills version!
Yes you are right I perhaps would be keeping the P/S system as spares for mine, am definitely keeping the 5 stud setup and the dual electric fan radiator.
If it has the trim strip in the pics then it's yours mate! If it's not attached it may be inside the car somewhere - I have yet to go through everything and sort it out.

Yep has the door switches - when I looked at them they were in good condition. $30 for both of them for you Alex :D

87 GSR-V, Factory DASH, Rebuilt bottom end with arp rod bolts and balance shafts removed, head reconed with 3 angle valve grind, TD05 housing machined out to take Garrett T4 internals, rebuilt and cryoed gearbox
Whats the dash like? If its in good condition Ill be keen.
Also if you end up using just the 5 stud hubs off the front, Id like the stub axles. Just cut them off the bottom of the struts. Just thinking ahead incase I get some D2 coilovers :)
Oh does it have the coat hooks in the back? They screw on the inside of the B pillars.

Is there any demand for the leadlights complete with motors/mechanisms, as well as the complete factory front mount intercooler with piping? how about oil cooler with lines?

Also, if the centre plastic console is available, I will take it. The person who tuned my car, crushed the original and so I have a maroon one amongst the dark plastics....
It's lightweight, so it shouldn't cost much to post??
