EVOMINUS, The problem with not reaching the shifter is, my arm isn't long enough when I am strapped in to my seat with the harness. The Starion shifter was quite long and had a 45 degree bend right at the base to angle the stick to the driver. The RX7 shifter is straight, not angled to the driver.

RallyStarion: Yes that was me. At Powercruze.

I took the Starion to a club day at Baskerville yesterday.
I set a new personal best of 1:03.85, Seems to shift better at high RPM.
First gear is a bit shorter, Fifth gear is a bit taller, and the speedo drive reads 10Km/hr fast.

10km/h faster at what speed? it won't actually read an exact amount higher, but higher by a ratio..

e.g. mine reads about 10% less than the actual speed.. when i'm doing 100, it will read 90. when i'm doing 50, it'll read about 45.

I had actually wasted money on a ratio box to correct this, but i've decided not to install it, as I need to change my tyre size, and I can install tyres with 10% larger circumference (i was doing the maths in my head, and i'm bad at it, so this may be wrong) and the speedo should then be accurate.

don't try explaining that to her tho..... just leave. lol

$80 for the tuff pan and studs.

One of the prevoius gearboxes had a crack in the shifter boot. Made a bit of a mess with the smurf blood.
