Cookie
Oh no I will never COPY anything I will IMPLEMENT the idea to MINE but I cant COPY someone elses work. But from looking at them I will NOT be able to implement their CASTER Adjustment idea in to my plates as they work TOTALLY different.
Mine would have worked with GUIDED slide plates for CAMBER and Noltec uses "Free Travel" Adjustment for BOTH Camber AND Caster.
So cookie have you had or heard ANY long term GOOD news from these ?
Do you like them ?
And will it work with both Standard springs and Coil-Overs ?
Sorry for the question BUT I am VERY interested in them NOW and cant wait to put a Group Buy together as soon as I get the final numbers from Noltec.
Thanks
Oscar

I have only just put them in the car and have not driven on them yet. However a lot of the race cars over here use Noltec parts and Noltec do sponsor some race series so I would suggest that they are top quality products.
You can use the plates with standard shocks and springs but it will raise the ride height by about 1/2 - 1" so shorter springs would be needed to compensate.
Yes you can use them with coil-overs as well which is what I am doing.

SORRY !Chris 83JA wrote:argh, enough CAPITAL letters already..
it's driving me CRAZY!
Opps I mean sorry.... :D
But yes I like to be obvious with the key words I guess most of the guys here in the states dont like to read and you have to POINT OUT the important words (me included). Sorry man ! :D
But maybe this will get you and the others excited ...
I just finished setting up a Group Buy for the Noltec Camber/Caster Plates and all of their bushes ( I think thats what they are called there ). I will post prices on the bushes ina day or two but the price on the Camber Plates is very attractive. We need at leat 20 orders so we can get the price of AU$360.00 plus post. Noltec's list price is AU$430.00.
Price may be lower if I get more than 20 orders.
So who wants in ?
I will possibly have the GP open for 1 moth to allow time for everybody to gather funds.
Thanks to cookie and the other here for pointing me to Noltec, finally we can have nice camber plates here in the US.
Thanks again
Guys

Well this is quite simple !
When you lower you car with lowering springs for increased handling you change the suspension geometry thus changing the camber of the tires ( Negative Camger) making them wear on the inside prematurely. Yes you get better handling but you ruin your tires in less time.
This device (the CAMBER plate) is designed to adjust your suspension back to normal by moving your strut tower back to to its original location to compensate for the lowering springs. And back to full negative camber for racing events if you so desired.
So this is BOTH a way to save your tires and to increase your negative camber for track days and overall handling performance.
So think about it as Horsepower for the turns :D
Hope I explained it enough, if not I'll go into more details.
Thanks
Oscar
