Beautiful car. Love it in white. Funny that the owner doesn't know what size engine it's got. He needs to sell it because he's not fanatical enough.

This one is different from the white widebody on TradeMe of a couple of years ago, the one then was a second hand import from the UK.FST4RD wrote:I think this is the one that was on trademe ages ago...
Jas might be able to confirm that?
This one is one of about 3 widebody imports at the time organised by local Mitsi Dealers for themselves.

Had no idea! My count was up to around 9/10, I've been alerted to an immaculate silver widebody in Gisborne also with silly low kms, it looks to have been first registered in 1990, then someone let the rego lapse, then re-registered.kiwieurospec wrote:Bid it up until you see you are within 15%.
I'd buy it, NZ new, 4G63 and white is my favourite colour for these things, I came close to changing mine to white.
Dg did you know this one existed here?
The white one which was on trademe for ages now belongs to a guy in Whangarei called Alan, it was a UK import which arrived here in 1989, and the previous owner to Alan re-painted it, reconditioned the engine and generally restored it.
I know the pictures aren't so great on the auction, but are they SHP wheels?

Those definitely aren't SHP wheels on that white car, it does look like he has rear 8" rims on the front though!! Good catch.
The black car has custom 17" 3 piece replica wheels made by the owner. No one was willing to pay the price he had got them made at so they are the only set in the world... now in NZ.

I got my 87 ex from a dealer who owned it new from 87 ( a friend)This one is different from the white widebody on TradeMe of a couple of years ago, the one then was a second hand import from the UK.

he tells me a hand full of the ex 11 (wide body) where built up in nz in very late 87 -88 .. all uk spec . .
they stoped making starions in nz dec 88
so any wide body 2l rhd starions in nz that has a reg date past dec 88 are probably a uk or jap import
so that might make this a very sought after starion ! 2nd maybe to the gsr-v 2L widebody jap spec??
or 3rd to the jap spec gsr-v widebody dash .??
did nz ever build a widebody or narrow body dash powered ex/ex11???
