Where to stay in Sydney

Im looking for a reasonbably priced place to stay near Eastern Creek, the places that are available nearby is the Travellodge Blacktown and Hotel Formule 1 in Wentworthville.

I've been told to stay out of Blacktown but the Travellodge from the google maps shows it outside that suburb near the Western Motorway, should I still stay away? Can any Sydneysider make a recommendation, either from those two or other alternatives near the track.

Travelodge is ok, Rooty Hill RSL is allways a winner or there is the chifley (which is stumbling distance from the track)..............

Am I right in saying the Rooty Hill RSL = Novatel Rooty Hill? Chifley is booked out during superlap unfortunately.
