-2 on the rear won't be doing your take off traction any favours either.

-2 is hardly much at all - with the Starion rear suspension it doesn't actually increase the negative camber by a huge amount compared to other IRS designs of the same era, ie the Toyota flappy trailing arm setup of the 80s, which when lowered 50-60mm will give you like -5deg of camber.

Many production vehicles of today have almost -2deg of camber in the rear from the factory - my stock height E39A Galant VR-4 sits at about -1.5deg on the rear. To me I think sports cars kind of look whack without at least a little bit of negative camber both front and rear. Negative camber will actually aid with traction in the corners as the body rolls.

nope it handles quite well, but has a bit too much traction for my liking.

i'm not referring to toyota's here bud, i'm talking about real world experience with starions!

Dave, what were you using to increase your negative camber on your starion when you were on the track experiencing in the real world? Im not sure about those adjustable rear plates.

i wasnt, when you lower one, they get a lot of rear camber! the lower you go, the more taily they get, unless you can reduce the rear camber.

The group A car i work on, has adjustable lower arms, it has less than 2 degrees camber even though it's on slicks! it makes a big difference to these cars..

bout 3 i think, i dont do the alignments..

found out something interesting regarding starion rear suspension setup today, i'll keep you posted if we get anywhere with it
