Will need to shorten the extension housing to get the shifter in the same position .
Looking forward to your feedback on say speeds in gears per 1000rpms compared to the Staz box and shift feel/quality as it is supposed to be way better and smoother
PS for those who don't know the imput shaft extends within a mm or so past the bell as the KM132 :D

Rad, if you've had no grief from your box why are you going to swap it?
I noticed the box used for the comparison is not the one in your car with the tuff pan on it.
Or are you getting prepared for that fateful day?

I want to be prepared for what most seem to think is inevetable seeing my tc is built for torque and is on a very safe tune and when 320+ HP & 585 nm ATW starts to feel slow a new tune , a 63 turbine and boost increase will be on the cards :Denthuzed wrote:Rad, if you've had no grief from your box why are you going to swap it?

Here in the states, years were 87-88 only with carburetor. 89 and above used a Mazda designed fuel injected 2.6 liter engine. The Mitsu G54B used in the trucks was more commonly found in the 4wd due to the higher torque than Mazda's 2.0 used in 2wd. Luckily Mazda knew they had a bullet proof trans and used the same TII R series transmission in it's 4WD trucks with different gearing of course.kushman wrote:hey could some one just confirm that the bell housing is from a late 88-92 ish? mazda b2600 4cylinder 2.6 rwd? i take it the 4wd type wont fit?
So what you should look for:

Hey Alan, did u get a clutch fork with the B2600 bell? i have a brand new one here if needed. Modding the shifter is pretty easy, i bet there are easy how to's on the ausrotary site as they do it when fitting this box to early mazda's.

I got the clutch fork with the RX7 box. I believe they are the same as the B2600 one. I am still debating whether to move the shifter, I think 3 inches further back would be good in conjunction with the different angle of the of the RX7 shifter.
This slave cylinder is the wrong one. The bleeder is on the wrong side.
This is the correct one, with part number.
This is the B2600 slave cylinder(the new one) compared to the RX7 slave cylinder.

What what year/designation of Australian models would the bellhousing and clutch fork and slave come from?
I'd imagine Ford Courier stuff would probably work too.
