It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now with photo's

Post by starionc »

After 4 years of gathering dust and slowly turning into a rally car,

Today for the fist time with MPI by L300 manifold and a Microtech LT10s computer the old JA was kicked back into life :D :D :D :D :D :D

First I had to drain the fuel tank and refill with PULP. Then replace the fuel pump with a "VL turbo" Then when that didn't work :wtf: clean out the 4 years of rotten fuel from the pick up pipe. It was blocked solid!!!

Then clean out the fuel lines, then get a lift pump to feed the main pump  Then clean the fuel lines again! Then with a f#*koff cloud of brown smoke it fired and shot half an exhaust system out of the tail pipe rofl

So on the list now is a new exhaust!!!
A pod filter(with a new pipe from the turbo to the pod!)
Change the diff to LSD (because I can)
And ......... DYNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then some suspension and it is at long last ready!!! (bursting out of skin!!!) Not including panel and paint :x

Cheers Jason

Whack them up, that one pic is tiny. Well done too!
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...
How?

Hacking...

Small pic adr.= https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_8YZu ... 28/015.JPG

BIG pic adr.= https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/_8YZu ... 3k/015.JPG

And then just put img-tags on the adress...
It's a litle to big for my taste on a forum.
I'd try to upload it with a bit smaller size, say 800x600? That will fit even a laptop 15" screen...

And use the "Preview" button a lot!!! :D

more progress

Post by starionc »

Progress was made today, It now has a pod filter and intake!!! The thermostat was also changed to replace the rusted out old one. (note that even though the radiator had loads of anti freeze, boil, corrosion and looked very clean. The thermostat was stuffed! end note)

My good mate Rob is putting up some pics soon!! :D :D :D :D :D
