Alspos is about to be euthanised :(

Post by Alspos »

Last sunday was driving along happily in the left lane when an 84 year old decided to change into my lane on top of me, leaving me nowhere to go but into the side of him. My POS has damage on R rear and front door, R front guard, bonnet, R headlight, grille and the bumper was ripped off. Left front tyre was also mangled from riding the gutter to avoid Poppy. Poppy finished up doing a 180 across my bow, up the median strip and sideways into a light pole.

POS has served me well for a long time, but sadly I think his time has come to let others of his ilk live on. I think I will be getting the live or die phone call tomorrow.

Couple of pics of better times.

A Porker 928 would be reasonable 'compensation' for your loss hey. After all, one was promised to you. Just saying...................

Maybe the "Give Way" sign in your drive-way should have been attached to your car, lol. then poppy may have seen you.
Sorry to hear about your loss, but glad your OK.

I used to own a similar car in the 90's, SV 3800 although a V6. One night it got pinched and burnt to a crisp in a matter of hours!

Wasn't happy at the time but got a decent insurance payout!

As a matter of fact, I don't see too many sv3800 or sv5000 in good nick these days. Plenty of VL's.... Ahh, the best engine in a Holden...a 3L Nissan!!

Thanks for the offer Mal, but I may have something else lined up, a bit newer, need to organise a few details. I sure am gunna miss that V8 burble :(
