just as a FYI, these are a 200mm wide touring car sized shell, 260mm is the industry standard wheelbase, width is either 190 or 200 on most shells, the racers use 190 and the drifters use 200mm usually, the extra width allows for deep dish rims to be used :)

i'd say if u get a cheap touring car chassis like a Tamiya TT01 (shaft drive)or a mid range Tamiya TA05 (belt drive 4wd) they'd be best bang for buck.

these guys are really good to deal with, quick, pack well and cheap:

you'd use probably 6mm offset wheels on the front and 9mm on the rear with a 190mm chassis like the TT01 or TA05.. such wheels are made by HPI and yokomo and can be found easily on ebay :)
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

I still have an old school TL-01 and TB-02 if anyone wants to buy them off me. They haven't been touched in years (bought them brand new, upgraded them, raced for about a year, then moved onto real cars lol)

I would love to get one too, but simply can't justify spending the money on something like this at the moment :(

oh, and the gas ones all require 200mm shells - they are wider than the electrics.

don't try explaining that to her tho..... just leave. lol

Already discounted price (15% off). AU$39.29, they won't budge on that...

If I order 15 off the website it's (AU$589.35 + AU$277.33 shipping) = AU$866.70
The price moves around each day due to changes in exchange rate.

So price each is AU$58 (landed in Sydney)

Not sure that local postage would be to different states or NZ and I don't know the size and boxed weight of individual shells.

I could hold on to them untill someone was visiting to/from interstate/NZ if they wanted to avoid extra postage?

Please confirm who is definately in or out and also, who will want their shell posted or picked up...

As a comparison. If you order 3 to one separate location (eg Syd.) it is $396.66, or $67 each (only a $9 difference per shell).
I'm guessing this might be the best option for NZ guys..?

Up to you guys... let me know what you think...

Pete, shipping them to one point, say, Brisbane, NZ, Sydney in lots would be easier (plus they should have tracking) and saves on double-handling.

Dave, how big is each box in cm and approx. weight?

I will give this one a miss now as I am going to focus my money back onto the car itself as things are looking good for it again and these will most likely be able to be purchased for a while to come still.
