Finally back on the road!

Post by Firebrand »

Just wanted to say, after 2 failed WOFs, some panel & paint, a refurbished alternator, refurbished master cylinder, a small electrical fire (and subsequent repairs to the wiring under the dashboard), a new battery, replacement seatbelts, replacement driveshaft, and a whole lot of cleaning, patching, touching up etc, my Starion is finally road legal again :) Just in time for Xmas!

cheers :) it's great to have it sorted, there's still a lot to be done (as there always is), but at least I can drive it legally now. I'm thinking of doing a bit of a road trip in the new year, maybe up to Christchurch and back to blow out the cobwebs, it's probably driven about 50km total since the start of winter...
By the way the advice on this forum has helped a lot with some of the things I have sorted out, so cheers :D .

That's what it's here for, to keep these old babies on the road, or running anyway. Got a bigger pic of your car Firebrand? Looks good but can't really see it in your avatar...

Here's one from another thread, was taken about a year ago, I've touched up the paint a bit and tidied a few things up since then, but it looks pretty much the same.

I should get around to taking some new photos...
