Hey everyone, my names Seb and i'm 22 from England.
My dad and i (well my dad has) have 3 starions, two WB and a NB all three are off the road unfortunately, but we are currently working on the NB to get it ready for summer so i can have a nice classic car to drive about in :D
My plans for the NB are to basically get it sitting at a nice height with WB 16' alloys on it. I'm currently having trouble locating eibach lowering springs however! :(
Any tips on where to find them?

Thanks :) ok cool, i've not heard of them before, do you happen to know how much they lower by etc? To be honest, i can't seem to find any aftermarket lowering kits over here, although i have seen d2 coilovers but they are quite dear! I'm just very excited about the prospect of driving this car haha

Eibach, I believe stopped manufacturing springs for the Starion.

Oh that's a real shame that. I'll keep an eye out for a second hand set maybe. Hmmm...are they quite hard to install/weld to the existing strut housing? They are all 1988 starions, WB in white, WB in red (in a bad way though) and the NB is in chateau beige. I'm working away, but if i can get home this weekend (i'm doubtful due to all this snow here) then i will take some pictures of them :)
The ones i had lowered by about an inch or an inch and a half. Part numbers for the kings are KCFL 08 and KCRL 18
Price is around $300-$400NZD iirc
Handling is alot better after they are in though :)

The adjustable sleeves just slide over the strut housing, then you screw on the spring perch and adjust your height. No welding required, as easy as changing a spring. You can also run softer or stiffer universal springs to dial in your setup. The sleeves use the same diameter spring as many others, and there are tons of options in spring rates/manufacturers.seb wrote:Oh that's a real shame that. -1 for King springs, I hate them with a passion. Reason being, I had a set in my old R30 and they sagged something chronic all of 6 months after they settled. I've got mates who've complained about the same thing, they all drive Commodores though so I'm not too sure on the validity of their arguments :P.
Plus, they're too soft. Then again, I'm not overly fussed about ride comfort. It's a sports car, not a luxo-barge LOL
My advice is get some custom wound to whatever free height and spring rate you need at a springworks. Shouldn't cost much more than $500/set.

Not sure about here, but there are tons of people in the US who have used the sleeve over kits. I have about 40,000 miles on mine.
I forgot about Suspension Technique lowering springs for the car:

It says about 1" of lowering, but that is over stock and doesn't count for sagging stock springs/upper strut mounts. Most who buy lowering springs, eibach or ST, find it actually raises their car, or see no lowering at all because of the stock sagging springs.
